The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District of Plateau State, Ignatius Datong Longjan is dead.
Longjan who was elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was former Deputy Governor of Plateau state and had replaced Senator Jeremiah Useni.
The death of Longjan is coming a month after Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, who represented Imo north Senatorial district had died in December 2019.
It was gathered that Senator Longjan reportedly died in a Turkish hospital.
Media Aide of Senator Longjang and his former Press Secretary when he was Deputy Governor, Wulime Goyit confirmed the death of the Senator to newsmen.
However, the Senate spokesperson, Senator Godiya Akwashiki is yet to issue official position of the Senate on the death.
