Movie Review – Fast And Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw

HOBBS AND SHAW

Looking for something super exciting then this is the movie for you this season. For all the action movie lovers out there, this is something you would like.

Most times all through the year we normally don’t have more than 3 action packed movies like this, so when we do, we get super excited. As a great fan of Fast and Furious as you all know, it will be very difficult to score them down, despite the fact that I found a few faults and hinges here and then, but then you cannot expect less from Hobbs and Shaw.

They put up a good twist and action and with the introduction of Idris Elba to this new edition, everyone was super excited. I enjoyed the entire movie except for some scenes that I felt were absolutely irrelevant and unnecessary. I guess we will be expecting another Fast and Furious sooner than we think, as they cut out to keep us fully entertained and thrilled.

This edition was written by Chris Morgan and directed by David Leitch. It was about 2 hours long with almost 100minutues of pure thriller action scenes. There were quite a number of things I liked from this movie, which includes the nice cast and crew, the cinematography and costumes, the action scenes and the storyline.

Most times I wonder how they think and come with a new twist and story each time they have to release a new movie. This is one movie that had everyone screaming and shouting all through till the very end, our hearts kept beating fast as we had no clue what to expect and who was going to die next. The only issue for me was the fact that some of the scenes went over board and became so unrealistic, such that we knew for a fact that wasn’t humanly possible.

If you have being following the action series called Fast and Furious since 2003 you would agree with me that they have done very well for themselves, and despite the fact that we have had almost 7 parts of this movie and still manage to keep us glued and entertained each time is something to be happy about. This edition was no exception as Dwayne Johnson referred to as Hobbs was forced to work with one of his chronic enemies Jason Statham referred to as Shaw in the movie.

Hobb was  a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security while Shaw was a known as a lawless outcast who was dropped by the British military operative, where we met him first in 2015. Both of them had always worked on the opposing team where they had to fight and exchange blows, unfortunately this time around they had to work as a team to bring down the newly created cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton popularly known as Idris Elba.

In this movie Brixton who was also known as the bad guy had access to a bio-threat, that could totally change the human race forever, he had to beat and get the virus that was already saved in an intelligent and courageous MI6 agent called the Crown’s Vanessa Kirby who we later found out to be Shaw’s sister.

You will need to see the movie to get a full grip of how they all worked together to bring down Britton.

To my verdict I would score this Fast and Furious movie a 7.5/10. It was a great movie in all until the unnecessary scenes popped. To many, the story wasn’t compelling enough, as the twist and match didn’t really add up all through but hey I enjoyed myself.

For all the action movie lovers then you can try this new movie to enjoy a super packed action and suspense all through.
