By Ngozi Okpalakunne

Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute has trained some journalists in Lagos as part of its effort to advance beauty therapy education, including aesthetic treatments.

The event, which held at Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute, Lagos also had in attendance trichologists, instructors and some staff of the institute, who provided a veritable platform for interaction and knowledge-sharing on common various hair problems suffered by Nigerian women.

It also featured intensive hair counseling and follow-up therapy.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Recare Ltd, owners of Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute, Chijioke Anaele, Nigerian women living in Nigeria require specific hair care solution because of their unique hair condition which is influenced by Nigerian weather, diet and hair structure.

Anaele reiterated the brand’s commitment to promoting healthy hair and scalp wellness, as well as addressing diverse hair care needs.

To him, the goal of setting up the Institute is to advance beauty education and training, develop professional competencies in hair styling and increase entrepreneurial spirit for economic development and empowerment of youths.

“We are committed to providing a holistic scientific approach to hair and scalp care, using rich natural ingredients. We have, therefore, developed treatments for various problems such as dandruff, hair breakage, dry hair, weak and damaged hair, as well as slow hair growth among others,” he stated.

Anele therefore, urged Nigerians to embrace indigenous hair care products, especially those formulated with natural ingredients, and reassured them of the brand’s commitment to providing both solutions and information on hair care.

The high point of the day was a media tour of the facility which was established in 2006.

The tour, most remarkably, culminated in an exclusive session with the institute’s 28th batch of trainees, all on three-year scholarships with regular stipends which has been the institute’s practice since inception.

Participants were presented with various range of the company’s hair products and gift cards, which further qualified them for a free walk-in hair therapy session at the institute to further encourage personal hair care.
