The Nigerian TV series Beyond The Veil, directed by Nadine Ibrahim, re-entered the top 10 on Amazon Prime Videos in four countries after being renewed for a second season.
According to Flix Patrol data, the movie climbed to number five in Nigeria and Rwanda and number nine in Zambia and Ghana.
Season one of the show, released in 2023, gained renewed interest after confirmation of a June 7th release date for a second season. The season’s renewal highlights a growing trend in the streaming landscape, with established movies and series experiencing a surge in viewership upon news of upcoming sequels or new seasons.
Nadine Ibrahim, the movie’s director, thanked fans for their continued support. “We’re thrilled Beyond The Veil is finding new audiences. It’s an honour to see our work resonate with viewers,” she said according to a statement.
The official trailer for the movie’s season two will be released on May 17th on Naila Media platforms, followed by the entire season premiere on Prime Video on June 7th.
