Lagos CJ commissions e-filing probate registry

The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Opeyemi Oke has said that the newly commissioned e-filing probate and archive registry in Lagos is designed to ensure the efficiency of the judiciary, particularly as it relates to probate. The CJ said this, while commissioning the registry, which is situated at the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere.

According to her, the event marks a milestone in the history of the Lagos State Judiciary.

She said, “This project holds a lot of promises for the efficiency of the Probate Section and indeed the overall effectiveness of the Lagos State Judiciary.

“We want to assure you of the effectiveness of the method while soliciting your support and cooperation in this regard. Our Staff have been well trained and are sure to give you a warm and friendly support, as may be required from time to time,” Justice Oke said.

With the introduction of the e-probate platform, submitted applications for grants will now expected be issued within the space of 12 – 16 Weeks.  The process of payment has been made cashless with less difficulty for all stakeholders. It can be made through the use of POS, and our designated accounts

Probate applications can now be submitted through the online portal at probate Lagos judiciary and its progress monitored.
