The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may on Friday fix a new date for the Bayelsa State governorship election earlier scheduled for November 2, 2019.
Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, gave this indication Tuesday while receiving a high-powered delegation from Bayelsa State led by Governor Seriake Dickson ,which demanded the change in the date for the governorship election which coincides with the State’s annual thanksgiving service instituted by law.
