Daniel Braie continues role of CEO at Linkage Assurance Plc

Daniel Braie has been appointed as the permanent Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Linkage Insurance Plc.

In a statement submitted to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and signed by the company secretary, Moses Omorogbe, the company revealed that the position of the Managing Director was approved by the appropriate regulatory body.

“We hereby notify the general public, Nigerian Stock Exchange and our esteemed Shareholders that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has approved the appointment of Daniel Braie as the substantive Managing Director of Linkage Assurance Plc. The approval was communicated to the Chairman of the Board via a letter dated 28th December, 2018” the statement read.

The company statement added that the new CEO brings his years of experience to “transform the operations of the Company.”Until this appointment, Braie was the Executive Director, Technical and was the acting Managing Director appointed by the Board in an emergency board meeting held on June 21, 2018.

The CEO was appointed by the board to replace former occupier of the seat, Pius Apere, whose appointment ended on June 21, 2018. The board of Linkage Assurance Plc, in a statement, wished Dr Apere “success in his future endeavours.”

Daniel Braie is a seasoned Insurance professional with vast experience in the industry. He started his career with UNIC Insurance Plc in 1978 and has held several senior level positions in different Companies within the Industry.

 

Braie is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Enugu State University of Science & Technology.

Linkage Assurance Plc was incorporated on March 26, 1991 and was licensed to cover and transact non-life insurance businesses on October 7, 1993.
