Lagos Motorfair organisers claims high stakeholders interest despite economic slowdown

BKG Exhibitions, organisers of the Lagos Motorfair has said it has received participatory interest from over players in the global automotive industry that has declared interest in showcasing their automotive models, products and services as the 11th Lagos Motor Fair & 5th Autoparts Expo kicks off at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos from April 28 to May 4, 2016.
Ifeanyi  Agwu, chairman of the organising committee of the Fair said that the event which is organized by BKG Exhibitions Limited of Nigeria and SENEXPO International Fairs Inc of Istanbul, Turkey is recording such turnout in these challenging times underscores the seriousness of stakeholders to keep the sector running.
Agwu, who is also the CEO of BKG Exhibitions Limited, noted that the presence of these firms will go a long way in reinforcing the aims and objectives of the exhibition which is fast tracking the development of the automotive sector of in Nigeria. He said their coming at this time shows seriousness and resilience on their part.
The theme of this edition is: New approach; new options; new opportunities’, which is informed by the enormous challenges facing the sector in recent times especially in Nigeria.
He noted that the challenges notwithstanding, BKG shifted to new approach of educating the people and government in developing new options and approaches for  creating and harnessing new abundant opportunities in the sector to achieve better customer relationship and marketing as well as looking at the future with emphasis on keeping the sector alive”.
Lagos Motor Fair remains the gathering of established brands as well as new entrants, ranging from passenger busses, cars, trucks, spare parts, accessories, lubricants, financials and many more.
Agwu stated that the importance of staging the show cannot be over-emphasized as all hands must be on deck to promote and support investments into the sector, as it occupies a strategic position in enhancing the economic development of Nigeria”
According to him, “As part of our efforts in promoting investment into the automotive sector, all strategies have been deployed to ensure that the fair more than ever before receives the needed attention from participants, institutional, trade, professional and individual buyers as well as visitors.’’
We have packaged a show that could effectively be used by the participants and visitors to maximize the benefits derivable from the fair. This edition will bring out all the potentials and investment opportunities that abound in the Nigerian automobile industry, which we know are very attractive so that the existing and potential stakeholders will utilise the opportunities offered by Lagos Motor Fair to get the best”.
