CBN, FRSC, NTA remit N193.6bn to government

  The House of Representatives on Tuesday cleared the trio of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for being up to date in their revenue remittances to the Federal Government, as the three agencies remitted a total of N193.6 billion.

House committee chairman on finance, Abdulmumini Jibrin, who praised the three agencies, hinted that they are the only agencies that have religiously remitted their revenues to the Consolidated Account in the out gone years as prescribed by the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA).

Presenting awards to the governor of CBN, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi; FRSC corps marshal, Osita Chidoka, and the director general of NTA, Musa Mayaki, all of whom were present, Jibrin disclosed that CBN, FRSC and NTA remitted the sums of N186.9 billion, N4.9 billion and N1.8 billion, respectively.
