Netflix reviews for weekender- week 40

SPIDERHEAD (2022)

This was a very strange and creepy movie wasn’t entirely sure what to expect until I started although I was glad to see Chris Hemsworth play the lead role, I knew it wasn’t going to be that bad. Chris played the lead role as the doctor who was trying out emotion-altering drugs on some inmates in a disserted house on an island. It turns out that they were convicted of various outraging crimes and this experiment felt like atonement for their sins. The 107m violence, sex, language, substances, suicide movie was directed by Joseph Kosinski and they featured Miles Teller, Jurnee Smollett, Angie Milliken etc.

PURPLE HEART (2022)

I wasn’t so sure I would enjoy the movie, but then few minutes into the movie, I knew I was in for an amazing story. So Cassie Salazar went to meet her friend Frankie who was signed off into the navy, and pleaded that he married her as they had loads of family benefits, which she needed as she couldn’t afford to pay for her diabetics drugs, he refused and his friend agreed, she was shocked and glad at the same time and had no clue that the guy also had issues and was using her as well, well do check it out to see what happened when they both found out the real truth. The 122m romantic movie was directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum and featured acts like Sofia Carson, Nicholas Galitzine, Chosen Jacobs, Kendall Chappell, Linden Ashby, and many more, it was a very beautiful and touchy story.

SET UP (2018)

So if you weren’t able to see this movie in the cinema a few years ago, now is a perfect time to catch it as they are set to launch part very soon. This movie is one of those movies that will leave you mesmerized and shocked at the same time, you know those movies where you think you are the smart one only to find out you have being out played, yes this is it, they had 10 setup in one, a set up in another set up, I just couldn’t help but smile and wonder who the main game changer was, if you are looking for a smart and intelligent movie, then search no further this weekend, as this will be worth your while. The 103m drama thriller was directed Niyi Akinmolayan, they featured Dakore Akande, Adesuwa Etomi, Kehinde Bankole and many others.
