WTO DG: Noble women group backs Okonjo Iweala

 A formidable group of women commanding respect who are also dignified and Noble in appearance and mannerism have joined the legion of supporters of the Candidacy of NIGERIAN born proof Okonjo Iweala for the top-job of WTO .

The group, simply known as “Nkata Ndi Inyom Ala Igbo” describes itself as the authentic voice of the Igbo women of all generations.

This group of women consists of distinguished scholars who gracefully carry the air of quiet eminence, accomplished scholars, professional’s corporate executives business owners entrepreneurs in all fields.

This contemporary and vibrant group of women from Ala Igbo are experienced and graceful,, young and vibrant. A veritable mix for the ultimate development of the nation.

Members of the duly registered association board of trustees include; Iyom Josephine Anenih, Dr. Regina Amadi Njoku, Hon. Justice Rose Ukeje, Prof Joy Ezeilo, H. E. Prof Uche Azikiwe. Amb.Lady Nkem Wadibia Anyanwu, Amb. Dr. Kema Chikwe, Engineer Ebele Okeke, H. E. Stella Odife, 10. Prof Stella Okunna, Lady Lizzy Jibunoh, Dr. Anne Okigbo, Dr. Grace Okudo, Dr Ogeri Azuogu, and Amb Fidelia Njeze.

These women have come together to harness and consolidate the brimming and palpable energy of the Igbo woman of today vis a vis the global positioning and competitiveness.

They are poised to speak with one voice according to the very distinguished former minister of Women affairs Iyom Joseph Annenih. The group will stand for good governance, equal representation of women in political offices and other areas as well as accountability, development and preparedness for the new future leveraging on technology.

On Tuesday evening when the news of Okonjo Iwealas success as the new WTO , Nkata Ndi Inyom Ala Igbo has joined the throng of jubilant Nigerians worldwide to congratulate a Worthy ambassador of the black race and an Ada Ala Igbo.
