Chinese truck maker eyes parts centre in Nigeria

With Nigeria as the most promising destination to make investment, CC Auto FZE, is making plans to establish a trucks spare parts centre in Nigeria. With October this year slated as the date for the commissioning, the spare parts centre will be located in the Calabar Free Trade Zone (CFTZ), Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

Gui Guangli Deputy Mayor of Changchun Municipal People’s Government, Jilin Province of the People’s Republic of China made this disclosure at a press conference during the just concluded Lagos Motor fair and Spare Parts Expo indie the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The deputy mayor who was at the head of an 11-man delegation to explore future business and investment opportunities used the 8th Lagos Motor Fair and Autoparts Expo Nigeria as a platform to give a back ground of the trucks and passenger cars company which he described as the cradle of Chinese automotive history.

Guangli who is also the Head Economic and Trade Delegation of Chang Chung City was at the event with major players in the auto business from the Province who are interested in investing in the country’s automotive sector said, Nigeria with its diverse economic potential is a one country that must be taken seriously by prospective investors.

This visit which he noted was to further cement the robust economic relationship between Nigeria and China seeks to deploy the wealth of experience and resources of the private and public sector of the province in developing the local automotive industry.

He pledged that, the automobile company is devoted to the manufacturing of heavy duty equipments and special automobile vehicles ranging from highway trucks, trailer, off-road dumper, evacuation dump truck, cross country truck.self loader, fueltanker, Pick-up truck, mini truck, Minibuses and auto Chinese series. All these are based on Chinese Changchun Automotive industry cluster, which is the manufacturer of the first Chinese truck.

As Gui Guangli put it, “With Nigeria as a market with huge potentials to investors, we are bringing forward our high quality automobiles that is produced to suit Nigeria roads. We are here to make life better by providing a better service with advanced business idea, highquality products and most of all, an outstanding after sales service. This is what the upcoming Spare Parts Centre will be offering to all prospective customers,”

The visit which is facilitated by one of the new entrants into the fair First Automobile Works [FAW] of China through its Nigerian office is aimed at demonstrating the desire of the franchisee to make positive impact in the local automotive industry.

The Lagos Motorfair is an annual exhibition that brings all automobile dealers together under one platform to showcase the latest in the local market. It also attracted lubricant manufacturers, the insurance companies and other financial institutions.
