Regulatory technology in focus at RegTech Africa Conference 2023

RegTech Africa Confab: GVG to address $39.89bn telecom revenue loss from fraud

The RegTech Africa Conference 2023 scheduled to hold in Lagos will have it’s main focus on regulatory technology.

The conference themed ‘Elevating National Policy on Financial Inclusion, Consumer Protection and Cybersecurity’ is
scheduled to hold from May 24 to 26, in Lagos.

Mark Bystriansky, CEO of EMG, a provider of telecom software and innovative blockchain services will share his insights and expertise on regulatory technology and its impact on the industry.

Regulatory technology is the management of regulatory processes within heavily regulated industries through technology. The main functions of regtech include regulatory monitoring, reporting, and compliance.

According to the organisers, the premier event for regulatory services innovation and excellence will bring together regulators, regulated entities, and key industry stakeholders to collaborate, engage, and share knowledge on new technologies and practices that support better regulations in Africa.

Meanwhile, the conference will also introduce EMG’s Super App, a revolutionary all-in-one platform designed to enhance the lives of people in various countries by offering them a single, unified platform that addresses multiple aspects of their daily routine.

Cyril Okoroigwe, CEO, RegTech Media stated that the telecom service providers face a significant challenge in balancing costs with the ability to reach underprivileged populations in most emerging countries.

The event which will gather over 40 speakers, according to the organisers will also provide a comprehensive overview of the latest innovations and best practices in regulatory services while serving as opportunities for regulators, the regulated, and key industry stakeholders to come together and shape the future of regulatory services innovation and excellence in Africa.
