Dapo Abiodun, Ladi Adebutu vote in Ogun

Dapo Abiodun, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cast his vote in the on going presidential and National Assembly elections.

He arrived for accreditation at his polling unit about 10am at Ita Osanyin, Polling Unit 002 ward 3, Iperu Remo in Ogun east senator district. When BusinessDay crew visited his polling unit, there was large turnout of voters, an indication of the strong desires by the voters to exercise their civic responsibility.

He commended the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their early arrival at the polling booth just as he praised the security personnel for their professional conduct before and during the election.

” We commend INEC for the job they have done so far because in addition to my polling unit, reports from nearby wards also show that things have been peaceful.

“The large turnout is a signal that a lot of voters don’t want to be left out. Everyone who has PVC should be involved in the process and we should all conduct ourselves peacefully ” Abiodun said.

Also, Ladi Adebutu Kesington , a honourable member of the House of Representatives cast his vote around 9:30am, after the necessary accreditation by INEC officials at the Wesley Nursery and Primary School, Ward 5 Polling Unit 004, Iperu, Remo, Ogun East Senatorial division.
While responding to questions, he confined the assessment of the entire process to the happenings in his ward which he described as very peaceful.

“My assessment of the exercise will be confirned to my ward. As you can see, my people are very excited which was responsible for the large turnout that you is here now. The exercise has been very peaceful in my ward and we will give you update as we receive situation reports from other wards “, Adebutu said.
