2023: Labour Party begins grassroots mobilisation, appoints LGA chairmen in Lagos

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the Labour Party has begun grassroots mobilization across Lagos State and appointed local government areas caretaker chairmen and other officers.

This was disclosed by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Bunmi Odesanya in a statement to the media Thursday.

Odesanya noted that the appointment would make the party structure very competitive, robust and sustainable.

Also appointed are 37 Local council development areas (LCDA) administrators, as well as the names of the 37 apex leaders of the party in the state.

She stated that the appointed officers would be unveiled to the public in the next one week.

“With this announcement, it should be clear to all and sundry that the organogram structures of the Labour party system is ready and set to run ideally for the take-over mission of the party in Lagos State,” excerpts from the statement read.

“After the announcement tomorrow, a date for their official inauguration/world press conference to unveil their identities/personalities to the world would be communicated, but won’t be later than 7 days.”
