AIFA global awards: Toyin Sanni emerges best woman leader in Africa

Emerging Africa Capital says series v, vi CP programme records 106% subscription

Nigeria’s Toyin Sanni, the Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice-Chair of the Emerging Africa Group was declared the Best Woman Leader in Africa at the 5th Africa Investment Forum and Awards in Paris, France.

The Africa Investments Forum and Awards (AIFA) has in the last 5 years brought together annually high-profile nominees of over 700 top-level public and private decision-makers, CEOs, Managing Directors, Investment Directors, International Directors, Business Experts, and Institutional players globally.

The Award winners were selected by independent jury panels made up of more than 80 sector experts from numerous countries, with investment interests in Africa.

For this year’s edition nominees for the awards in the Category Best Woman Leader in Africa, were Toyin F. Sanni (Emerging Africa Group Déborah Diallo (Diallo Law Firm); Gwen Mwaba (Afreximbank); Lamia Merzouki (Casablanca Finance City); Laureen Kouassi-Olsson (Birimian Holding), Ola Brown (Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Company).

Sanni was also nominated for the African CEO of the Year Award alongside Ade Ayeyemi (Ecobank Transnational Corporation), Adebola Williams (Red For Africa), and Jean-Luc Konan (Group COFINA) who emerged winner in that category.

Sanni emerged the Gold Award Winner and was named Best Woman Leader in Africa.

Sanni has, prior to now, been declared the All-Africa Business Woman of the Year 2017 at the AABLA Awards in Johannesburg, the Pearl CEO of the Year, 2017 in Nigeria, Tech Times Africa CEO Influencer 2020 and 2021 amongst other Awards.
