Members of the Owner Management Programme (OMP) 21 class of Lagos Business School gathered in Lagos for a 10-year reunion celebration aimed at strengthening professional networks and promoting collaboration among entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The event, held in Lagos, brought together alumni from across Nigeria and abroad, with business owners and their spouses in attendance.
The venue featured a red carpet reception, a photo wall documenting milestones of the OMP 21 class, and networking areas where guests interacted throughout the evening.
Festus Akinpelu, president of the OMP 21 class, said the reunion was designed to strengthen ties among entrepreneurs and encourage collaboration.
“The event will continue to draw several entrepreneurs and society bigwigs to its fold and the aim is to bring under one umbrella the entrepreneurs of like minds,” he said.
“This initiative will enable all business like minds to connect, network, share and have fun. More of this kind of interaction will create more awareness with a constant reminder of the benefit of using social strengths in nation-building.”
Ekaette Umoh, chairperson of the planning committee, said the outcome of the reunion could shape plans for a larger alumni conference in future.
“This wasn’t just a party,” she said. “It was a reminder of the value of staying connected and leveraging the network for real impact.”
One of the highlights of the event was a panel discussion featuring Muyiwa Adewoye, who spoke on the role of artificial intelligence in Nigerian businesses.
The programme also featured discussions on Nigeria’s operating environment, with alumni leading companies in the FMCG, fintech, and energy sectors examining issues including access to capital, talent retention, and regulatory challenges affecting mid-sized businesses.
Guests were entertained with live music, comedy performances, and a formal dinner, while conversations during the event focused on mentorship and business collaboration opportunities within the alumni network.
Members of the OMP 21 class include Abayomi Sadiku, Ngozi Osuhor, Tokunbo Modupe, Yemi Ayeni, Rotimi Abiru, Tunji Laguda, Taiwo Durotoye, Adelani Adewuyi, Sylvia Cole, Tosin Omoyajowo, Jide Adekola and Temitope Akinyemi, among others.
