Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions (GRDS) has introduced new enhancements to its G-Ease platform aimed at improving shareholder access to Annual General Meetings (AGMs) by making proceedings more accessible and convenient for shareholders regardless of location.

The development comes at a time when expectations around shareholder engagement are evolving, with increasing demand for more flexible and technology-enabled access to corporate information and engagement platforms.

Traditionally, attending AGMs has largely required shareholders to be physically present at designated venues, which can pose challenges for investors who are unable to travel due to distance, work schedules, or other personal commitments.

GRDS’ latest enhancement to the G-Ease platform is designed to address this limitation by enabling shareholders to conveniently follow AGM proceedings remotely through live-streaming functionality integrated within the app.

Through the upgraded platform, shareholders who are unable to attend meetings physically can now watch AGM proceedings live from their mobile devices, improving access to important corporate updates and discussions during the AGM season.

Commenting on the development, Anne Mutuah, Acting Managing Director of Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions Ltd, said the enhancement reflects the company’s commitment to improving shareholder experience through innovation and accessibility.

“AGMs remain one of the most important engagement platforms between companies and their shareholders.

“Our objective is to make access to AGM proceedings easier and more convenient for shareholders, particularly those who may be unable to attend physically,” Mutuah said.

She noted that the enhancement aligns with broader changes in shareholder expectations, where convenience and accessibility are becoming increasingly important in how investors engage with companies.

According to her, technology is playing a growing role in improving shareholder engagement by expanding access to information and reducing some of the traditional limitations associated with physical attendance.

“Shareholders today expect more flexibility in how they stay connected with the companies they invest in. By enabling shareholders to follow AGM proceedings remotely through the G-Ease app, we are improving accessibility and helping more investors stay informed during critical corporate engagements,” Mutuah added.

Industry observers noted that the increasing adoption of digital engagement tools across capital markets reflects a broader shift toward more accessible shareholder communication models.

For shareholders, the benefits include easier access to AGM proceedings, reduced travel-related constraints, and greater convenience in staying connected to company activities during the AGM season.

For client companies, the enhancement also supports broader visibility and improved shareholder reach, particularly among geographically dispersed investors.

As the 2026 AGM season approaches, GRDS is encouraging shareholders to take advantage of the G-Ease platform to conveniently access AGM proceedings remotely.

The enhancement further reinforces GRDS’s position as a forward-thinking registrar leveraging technology-driven solutions to improve accessibility, efficiency, and shareholder engagement within Nigeria’s capital market ecosystem.
